About Me
Hello and welcome! My name is Janel Glover and I’m the proud owner and heart behind Nel’s Pomeranians, located in beautiful Newport News, Virginia. My love for breeding began at a young age while helping my mother raise German Shepherds, it was there I discovered the joy of bringing new life into the world and preparing each puppy for their perfect forever home.
That early passion grew into a lifelong devotion and when I brought home my first blue merle pomeranian, I instantly fell in love with the breed’s charm, intelligence and personality. From that moment on, I knew this was my calling.
At Nel’s Pomeranians, we specialize in producing exceptional, ethically bred pomeranians in stunning colors including blue merle, chocolate merle, sable, orange and other rare variations. Each pairing is thoughtfully planned using dna testing, to submit evaluations and pedigree research to ensure the healthiest and happiest puppies possible.
All of our puppies are AKC registered and come with full rights, first vaccinations, deworming, microchipped, health guarantee and early socialization with other dogs, cats and children. We also begin puppy pad training to help make the transition to their new homes as smooth as possible.
Whether you’re near or far, we proudly offer safe and reliable ground or flight nanny transportation throughout the United States. Fees vary by distance and we’re always happy to provide a personalized quote.

I adopted my sweet Pomeranian, Mochi, from Janel and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From the very beginning, Janel was incredibly responsive, friendly, and flexible. She answered all my questions in a timely fashion and just made the adoption process in general smooth and stress free. She provides all the necessary paperwork, including vaccine records and AKC registration, and truly goes above and beyond for her puppies and their new families. Mochi came home with a cozy blanket that had the scent of her parents and siblings, along with some food and toys to help her adjust. Janel even included a ball that Kochi had shown interest in that I really wanted for her. Kochi is the sweetest, happiest little dog, and I can tell she came from a loving and well cared for environment. I highly recommend Janel to anyone looking for a healthy, well socialized puppy and an adoption experience filled with care and kindness.

Janel was very responsive to my questions about her goals as a breeder and what the mother and the father of the litter were like. I explained what I was looking for in regards to the right companion for my son who is verbal, high functioning autistic. She had no problem sending updates in the format of pictures and videoes periodically. She even went so far as to start calling our pup by the name we picked out for him. All around she is a really amazing person and I'm so glad we did business with her 🤗
